What Blogging Has Taught Me

I will start out by saying that blogging has taught me everything I've ever wanted to know about article writing, posting fresh and interesting content, and how the search engines truly work behind-the-scenes. Blogging has come a very long way in a very short time with the help of numerous WordPress updates over the years. WordPress is the quintessential blogging platform for anyone who has anything to say on the Internet. Blogging isn't just about setting up a blog and putting in some content, opinion or something else you want your readers to hear about. It's also about answering your comments, interacting with others, and a sense of building an online community where others can collaborate and share.
I find blogging to be an excellent opportunity to express myself, my ideas and to help individuals and small business succeed on the Internet today.   - Tracy Bernardo

Why People Start Blogging

Many people start a blog with great aspirations of providing unique and compelling content but without a single direction in mind. That's proven to be a strategy that tends to fail time and time again. While most blogs get a healthy dose of content when they're first started, many are left to squander online without so much as a single piece of fresh content and many months. There actually is statistics out there to say than 95% of the blogs rarely get updated. Many people were under the impression that once they started blogging the world was their oyster filled with hungry visitors knocking down their blogging door. Quite a few blogs are abandoned simply because the author is just too busy with family life.

When you first start a blog, its very easy to lose your way when you realize all the cool things you can do with the thousands of available plugins. You must remain focused with a clear and definable strategy in mind if you ever expect to provide compelling content to your readers. - Tracy Bernardo

Not the Path to Instant Fame and Money

People who think that blogging is a quick path to stardom and moneymaking prospects quickly learn that few blogs ever have enough traffic to survive amongst the millions of others out there. You truly have to have a niche to write in and begin to develop that niche without all the distractions that can quickly set you on another path.
